Infinity Ward Behind the Scenes Talks Inspiration, New Call of Duty

Geez, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out in 2007? As they say, time flies when you’re playing COD.

Now we’re literally on the eve of Call of Duty 2016’s announcement event, scheduled to be live-streamed tomorrow, Monday 5/2, at 10:30am Pacific (1:30pm Eastern). Tune in to when the time comes. This year’s COD is coming from franchise originating studio, Infinity Ward.

In lieu of the usual announcement of an announcement, Infinity Ward and publisher Activision have released the below behind the scenes look at some of the people working on bringing this next installment to life.

TL;DW, the series has been around long enough that people who played the earlier ones are now working on the new ones, COD’s impact on modern gaming has been tremendous, and they’re putting some emphasis on characters and story this time around — taking some risks and changing up the formula in some way.

I am intrigued. What’s it gonna be like? Any last minute predictions?

Let us know in the comments.

A student of games, I play a bit of everything because I like to see what’s out there. Nothing better than first hand experience when it comes to knowing about games. Current game obsession: Anything MOBA (Paragon, Battleborn, Heroes of the Storm), except, ironically, the most popular ones, LoL and DOTA2.
