Alienation Set To Receive a Large Update

Housemarque has announced a rather important update to Alienation, scheduled to hit PlayStation 4 on July 5th. First and foremost in the new features is the much-desired ability to play local co-op up, to four players! As Housemarque says in the release, “you’ll have to fight over who gets the best loot when opening a crate!”. This is a highly requested feature, and the folks at Housemarque listened to the community.

In addition, a Leagues system will be added. They will be divided into five ranks and one-week cycles, and will enable players to “climb ladders of glory and unlock new bullet colors”. Also, two new difficulty levels will be available, Expert and Master. Rounding out this free update will be “three new trophies, a richer Arkship experience (with new rooms, harder enemies, better lot), adjustments to Legendary weapons loot drop rates and increased Hero levels cap”.

While the robust update is free, Housemarque will releasing the first DLC for Alienation the same day, along with the ability to purchase a Season Pass on PSN. The DLC, entitled Survivor’s Pack, “includes the possibility to make all main weapons available to all classes, a new piece of gear (the Vortex Grenade, which sucks all enemies to a central gravity point dealing constant damage) and three exclusive bullet colors.”

The Season Pass will cost $9.99 USD/7.99€ and will include the Survivor’s Pack, and upcoming DLC, which includes Conqueror’s Pack, Veteran Heroes Pack. the soundtrack, and Alienation‘s Dynamic Theme. Survivor’s Pack will cost $5.99/2.99€ individually if you prefer to go that route.
