Batman: Return to Arkham Delayed

One month before its scheduled release, WB Games have delayed Batman: Return to Arkham indefinitely. The remastered versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City were set to release on July 26th before this delay, but now it is unknown when it will be released.

The announcement was quietly made on the WB Games community forums where Steve Grayson of WB made the announcement. You can read his full statement below:

“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuos Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”

There you have it, Batman: Return to Arkham no longer has a release date in order to give Virtuos Games more time to work on the product. There is no information on what exactly is causing the delay, but at least WB are taking the steps to hopefully avoid a situation similar to the troubles Batman: Arkham Knight suffered on PC.

If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
