Once you have read the excellent Hands-On: BioShock: The Collection by Josh Langford, I suggest you then watch the comparison trailer below.

You can now watch the iconic opening sequence from the original BioShock, fully remastered for modern consoles in the BioShock: The Collection Remastered Comparison Trailer. This new trailer highlights the graphical improvements between the original console releases of BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, and the upcoming BioShock series debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. 2K is bringing all three entries in the much loved BioShock series to PS4 and Xbox One for the first time, with 1080p graphics and up to 60FPS, and the Remastered Comparison Trailer also showcases examples of new and improved textures and art assets created by Blind Squirrel Games. BioShock: The Collection will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 16th September, 2016.

$20 per game isn’t bad. $16 per game per Best Buy Gamer’s Club or Amazon Prime… that’s pretty decent.

Though… Remaster… Isn’t it just a port of the PC level graphics tuned for the PS4 PC in a box? If I play Bioshock games on my PC using recommended settings from NVidia, and then someone else plays it on their Occulus Rift level PC at recommended settings from NVidia, their game will look possibly about the same in difference.

Is it really a remaster at that point?
