PS4 Pro Announced and Given a Price and Release Date
The next iteration of the PlayStation 4 that was codenamed PS4 Neo has been given the official name of PS4 Pro. This new more powerful PlayStation 4 was revealed at the PlayStation Meeting in New York and some details of the console were given as well as plenty of footage of games running on the new technology.
Some games shown running on the PS4 Pro included the upcoming Spider-Man game, Watch Dogs 2, For Honor, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
The PS4 Pro will support 4K resolution and HDR content. The console is powered by AMD’s Polaris tech and will come with a 1TB harddrive. And it will be compatible with all your previous downloadable and disc based games.
The PS4 Pro is set to launch on November 10th for $399.99 (£349.99).
And for those that already own a PlayStation 4 system it was announced that all previous PS4 systems will be given a firmware update that will make all PS4 models HDR compatible.
