Golden Minecart Awards 2016: Vote Here!

*** UPDATE ***
The polls are now closed. Thank you for voting, the results will be announced on Episode 512 of the podcast.

Voting is now open for your 2016 Golden Minecart Awards.

These are your awards. YOU decide, so get your votes in and make your voice heard!

The entire staff of PS Nation worked hard over the past few weeks to present you with a list of five (sometimes six) nominees in each category. Some of the categories were especially hard this year and we had a tough time coming to a consensus in a few of them.

The PS3 has been cut to two categories this year as there were only fifty or so games released in total on the platform in 2016 and many of those were repackaged bundles. We have made up for that with some new PlayStation VR categories.

There’s also a brand new category for the PlayStation 4 called Best Continuing Support. With games becoming platforms and developers extending the effective lifespan of many titles, we wanted to recognize some that fit the bill. To be nominated, the game had to be released in 2015 or earlier and have significant support and updates through 2016. Let us know what you think and we may keep this as a permanent category going forward.

As always, if your game hasn’t been nominated there’s a write-in opportunity for every category. These are your awards after all. Don’t think of a write-in vote as a throw away. The past few years have shown that write-in votes can make a difference and last year one of them even took second place. It’s only a matter of time before a write-in takes the top spot.

Voting can be done once per day, once every 24 hours, so vote as often as you can to make your voice heard.

The polls will close on Monday, January 23rd at 11pm Eastern and the results will be announced on Episode 511 of the Podcast. So what are you waiting for? Start voting now!

Good luck to all the nominees, and remember, you can vote once every 24 hours so vote as often as you can to make your voice heard. These are YOUR awards.
