Puyo Puyo Tetris Releasing in the West, Finally!

Puyo Puyo Tetris is finally leaving Japan and will be translated for the western markets. Sega announced during all the Nintendo Switch news that Puyo Puyo Tetris will be made available in North America and Europe in the Spring. The game will only be available on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with the PlayStation 4 version only being available on disc for $29.99. The Nintendo Switch on the other hand will get both a digital and physical release with the digital version going for $29.99 and the physical format available in limited quantities for $39.99. The game was available on Xbox One and Vita in Japan, but sadly those platforms were not mentioned for release outside of Japan.

For those unfamiliar with Puyo Puyo Tetris, it was released in 2014 in Japan and featured both Puyo(the little bean dudes) and Tetriminos in one sometimes hectic puzzle game. The game features a single player story, challenge modes as well as a lot of multiplayer options for both offline and online.

Check out the trailer below and see the game in action.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
