Game Director of Far Cry 4 Starting His Own Studio
Alex Hutchinson announced that he has left Ubisoft and is forming his own studio called Typhoon Studios. While at Ubisoft Alex served as the game director on games like Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry 4. Far Cry 4 in particular was well received by fans and critics, even winning a Golden Minecart from our community.
So! I left Ubisoft after 7 years. Extremely proud of all we achieved on Far Cry and Assassins but very excited to build something new.

Outside of the news of his departure there isn’t much to report in regards to what we can expect from Typhoon Studios as the studio is still in early stages. Hopefully we will not have to wait too long to learn what ideas the new studio has in store for us.
Probably won't have much to announce in the near future as we hire, build our studio, buy a coffee machine and build Ikea furniture but…
