Prey: Environment Tour Trailer Released

Bethesda and Arkane Studios released a new trailer for their upcoming title, Prey. In the video, we get a guided tour of Talos I, the location for the upcoming game.

The video features studio heads who guide us through the environment and the gameplay we can expect from the upcoming title.

Unlike Arkane Studios’ previous titles, Dishonored & Dishonored 2, Prey will be set in an open world that unlocks as the story progresses. “We call it an open space station game. It’s like an open world game,” said Ricardo Bare, Lead Designer for Prey. “Eventually the player has the means to go all over the space station.”

Revealed is how incredibly detailed the environment around the player is, and how important a role it plays. Talos I appears to be just as much a character in the game as the NPC’s or the aliens. Developers have made every effort to make a diverse set of locations to create an immersive experience.

From the grandiose lobby to the industrial inner workings of the space station, Talos I holds something different around every turn. Early on, the entire station opens up for you to explore in almost any manner you like. As Morgan Yu, move freely throughout Talos I, and even return to previously explored areas to find big changes depending on how the story unfolds – or what actions the you’ve taken. You will also be able to go outside of the space station and fly around in zero gravity, using the exterior to navigate to a different area or to find additional secrets hidden outside Talos I.

Prey is currently set to launch on Friday, May 5th. In addition, you can play the opening hour of the game for free on April 27th.

Musical guy, went to college for it. Now like many musicians I’m working at a tech startup.

My first gaming memories harken from the NES. While I had a Genisis later, I always found myself going back to the NES to play Super Mario 3 or Mega Man 2. These days I’m usually gaming on my PS4 or PC.

Some day I’ll be Honey Boo-Boo famous.
