WRC 7 | Physics Dev Diary

Check out the new developer diary for WRC 7 where they chat about the reworked physics in the upcoming game. You might need to click on the closed captions (CC) button unless you can understand French. I also added the latest trailer for the game at the bottom of the post, keep an eye out for the obligatory slow-motion slide around a corner that seems to appear in every Rally game.

Bigben and Kylotonn are sharing the developers’ notes on the physics of cars, and how professionals weighed in to help make the sensation of driving even more realistic. WRC 7, the official game of the 2017 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), will be available in the UK on September 26th on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC.

Rui Soares, a real life WRC engineer, analyses the physics of WRC 7. He shares his impressions of the in-game driving, which is even more realistic thanks to completely reworked physics and very comprehensive fine-tuning possibilities. These improvements let the player take advantage of all the new characteristics of WRC 2017’s cars, which are more powerful, lighter, and more nervous.

I’m really looking forward to this one, are you? Let us know in the forums or in the comments below. WRC 7 will release on September 26.
