PS4 Sells 5.9 Million Units During Holiday 2017

Well it appears all the great sales Sony was running this holiday season have paid off. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced on Monday, January 8, 2018 that it sold 5.9 million consoles to consumers. Again that is a sold number, not a shipped number.

Sony also announced that 55.9 million software units sold digitally and physically during that period. That now means that Sony has sold 73.6 million PS4s since its launch, 650.0 million software units, and PS Plus has 31.5 million users as of December 31, 2017.

Did you pick up a PS4 this holiday season? What games did you buy? Was this the year you ended up getting a second PS4 or maybe gave one as a gift? Let us know.
