Shadow of the Tomb Raider Release Date and Trailer

This past Friday Square-Enix officially revealed The Shadow of the Tomb Raider and set the release date of September 14th, 2018. The game will release simultaneously on the PS4, PC and Xbox One, leaving behind the timed exclusive restraints the previous games held.

Here’s a quick rundown of the plot from the press release and the first full trailer:

“In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.”

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have a season pass which features seven new adventures called “Paths” that contain new narrative, new missions, a Challenge Tomb, a new weapon, a new outfit and a new skill. The first Challenge Tomb will also introduce new co-op functionality.

We can probably expect to hear more about Shadow of the Tomb Raider during E3 and other events prior to its release date so stay tuned for more information.
