Battlefield V Delayed Until November

Battlefield V, EA DICE’s latest installment in the long-running series, is being pushed back a few weeks. Initially scheduled for release on October 19th, the game will now drop on November 20th for PlayStation 4, XBox One, and Windows PC.

The delay is due to feedback the developer is receiving from the closed Alpha sessions that have taken place, such as “some meaningful improvements to the core gameplay experience, including adjusting the gameplay tempo, improving soldier visibility and reducing player friction”. While not mentioned in the blog post by DICE General Manager Oskar Gabrielson, one likely benefit of this move will be freeing the game up from releasing between Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

The game’s Open Beta, however, is still scheduled to take place on September 6th. Gabrielson assures us that the above mentioned changes will be reflected in said Beta. Stay tuned for more information that may come available.
