New Content Coming to Rocket League in December

The good folks over at Psyonix ahev put up a new posting on the Rocket League blog, which details new changes coming to the popular vehicular-sporting game, including support for Xbox One X.

The final update for 2018, aptly named the December Update, will allow player on Xbox One X to play the game at native 4K resolution, running at 60 frames per second in full HDR. So, if Rocket League has started to look a little stale to you on your Xbox One X, this new update will give you new reasons to gawk at the game. Just don’t forget to guard the goal. Even players without a 4K-capable television can still take advantage of what this update has to offer with supersampling on a 1080p TV or display.

All the new features coming to Rocket League on One X and other platforms follow, as pulled from the Rocket League blog post:

Leaderboards for Ranked Extra Modes

Changes to the XP/ Progression System, including more Weekly Win Bonuses

A brand new ‘Rocket League x Monstercat Vol. 5’ EP

New Community Flags for Extra Life, Speedy, and another still TBA

…And more!

The December Update hits the digital waves on Dec 3, with news of the Rocket Pass 2 and Frosty Fest to follow later in the month. Both are planned to be available before the year is out. Talk about a busy team!
