Persona 5 S Not a Switch Port

After lots of leaks and teasing, we finally know what Persona 5 S is! Unfortuntely, it isn’t the Nintendo Switch port we all thought it would be. Earlier today, Atlus announced Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, a Musou game from prime Musou developers Omega Force.

If you know what a Musou game is, you know what to expect from this one. Fans of games like Dynasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, rejoice! An Omega Force Musou game set in the Persona 5 world should be enough to get you hyped! I usually don’t get too interested in Musou games, but defeating horde of enemies as Joker and the Phantom Thieves sounds like exactly my jam!

Still, for the Nintendo fans who may have been hoping the code name “Persona 5 S” might have been hinting at a Switch port, at least Joker came to Smash Bros. That may have to be enough to satisfy for the time being.

Feel free to check out the trailer below, but be warned, it’s all in Japanese.

No word of a release window, in JP territories or otherwise. I expect it will come to the States and EU in time. Persona 5 Scramble is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
