Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order E3 Demo Revealed

As part of E3, EA released the first gameplay video of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The video made it appear as if Fallen Order was a linear, story driven adventure game similar to the Uncharted series. The player also seemed to encounter little resistance from the enemies. After the press starting seeing the extended demo behind close doors, word quickly spread that there was much more to Fallen Order.

EA has released the extended gameplay demo and a blog post from the game director. The blog post promises “considerable challenge and depth within our combat system”. While the extended gameplay shows the “planet hopping system” and “Metroid inspired map (in action)”.

Here is the link to the blog post.

EA and Respawn Entertainment today revealed the full-length 25 minute demo of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from EA PLAY and E3.

To accompany this footage, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Game Director Stig Asmussen has inked a letter to the community on the team’s thinking behind the EA PLAY stream’s content, what the team included and why the development team considered this the best approach. This includes providing more insight on the game’s thoughtful combat and inspiration, the team’s non-linear approach to level design for planets and how each location will open new challenges and upgrades for the game’s protagonist, Cal Kestis.

I love all things video games. When I am not gaming I am watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, BBQing, and reading.
