Digital Gaming Events To Fill Your Summer

With the world in a tailspin from the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, many of the yearly, planned gaming events have been cancelled. Thankfully, there have been a number of organizations and studios who have stepped up and planned their own events to highlight upcoming games, showcase new trailers and give a little back the the thirsty gaming community. Here’s a rundown of what we know about so far for upcoming events for 2020.

Summer Game Fest is a series of digital events hosted by Geoff Keighley most notable for hosting The Game Awards. Summer Game Fest has events scheduled through May, June, July and August and promises to add even more in the coming weeks.

Summer Game Fest is a new, all-digital way to unite the gaming community for a season of video game news and events from game developers and publishers. SGF will feature digital news events, playable content, in-game events, and other surprises you can experience for free from the comfort of home.


The Guerrilla Collective is another online digital event set to reveal trailers and new games from a plethora of indie developers. Hosted by Greg Miller, the event is scheduled June 6, 7 & 8th. at 10AM PDT each day. You can find out more details at their website or by following them on Twitter.

WHAT IS GUERRILLA COLLECTIVE? Online digital games festival to reveal fresh announcements, trailers and reveals from some of the hottest publishers and developers around the world! Posted earlier today, Ubisoft also announced their own event titled Ubisoft Forward. Set to broadcast on July 12 at 12PM PDT/9PM CEST, little is known what to expect from the studio except what should be on par with their previous E3 showings. With physical gaming shows around the world postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ubisoft will be hosting its first digital conference, called Ubisoft Forward, on July 12 at 12PM PDT/9PM CEST. Get ready for an E3-style showcase with plenty of exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more.
