As the longest running PlayStation podcast in the world, PS Nation has had some interesting experiences over the years. Below are some of the highlights:

2007
  • PlayStation Nation starts on March 21, 2007 as one of the first PlayStation focused podcasts on the internet, Glenn and Jarrod are the hosts.
  • October 26, 2007: David Jaffe makes his first appearance as a guest on the podcast.
  • November 26, 2007: Jarrod reviews Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and complains about the “minecart” section, a gaffe that would later be immortalized in our yearly game awards.
2008
  • January 26, 2008: Richard Lemarchand, Lead Game Designer for Uncharted is interviewed on the podcast and subsequently calls out Jarrod for the minecart incident.
  • Jarrod leaves the podcast to pursue acting. Mark Senger joins as Glenn’s full time co-host.
  • On March 31, 2008 we entered into a partnership to become the official podcast of the PS Fanboy section at joystiq.com
2009
  • May 27, 2009: PSNation.org launches with articles, news, and reviews.
  • June 1-6, 2009: PS Nation attends E3 for the first time and gets to see a little game called Gravity Crash from Stewart Gilray and Just Add Water.
  • September 3, 2009: Josh makes his first appearance as a guest on the podcast to discuss a Need For Speed: Shift event he attended in New York.
  • December 22, 2009: The winners of the very first Golden Minecart Awards are announced.
2010
  • April 1, 2010: Joel and Josh join the podcast as regular co-hosts in anticipation of Mark’s departure at the end of the month.
  • June 8, 2010: Sony launches the Community Theater inside PlayStation Home with PS Nation as the first partner creating exclusive videos for the service.
  • June 14-18, 2010: Joel can’t attend E3 with Josh and Glenn and thus Joel-on-a-Stick is born.
  • October 16-17, 2010: We include raffle prizes for the first time ever during our annual Extra Life Gaming Marathon to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network.

2012
2013
  • February 20, 2013: PS Nation attends the unveiling of the PlayStation 4 at The Future of PlayStation Event in New York City.
  • October 10-13, 2013: Glenn attends New York Comic Con with Josh, Keith, and Emrah for his first (and probably last) time.
  • November 2013: Glenn attends a PlayStation Press Event in New York on the eve of the PS4 launch.
2014
  • March 28-30, 2014: PS Nation writer Chazz extends our reach and covers EGX Rezzed in Birmingham, England.
  • April 11-13, 2014: PS Nation starts a new community tradition at the Midwest Gaming Classic with a Friday morning movie and an evening Brewers game.
  • December 6-7, 2014: Just days after recording Episode 400 of the podcast, we head to Las Vegas, Nevada for the first ever PlayStation Experience.
2015
  • February 10, 2015: The website gets a face lift along with brand new Forums.
  • June 16-18, 2015: PS Nation has its biggest E3 coverage ever with six staff members in attendence.
  • December 5-6, 2015: In San Francisco for the second PlayStation Experience, Glenn and Josh are joined by special guest Shuhei Yoshida for his first appreance on the podcast in Episode 452.
2016
  • March 2016: We begin Year 10 of PS Nation as The Longest Running PlayStation Podcast in the World.
  • September 7, 2016: We attend the PlayStation Meeting in New York City where the PlayStation 4 Pro is unveiled and get hands-on impressions.
  • November 14, 2016: Another milestone as we release our 500th episode, recorded live with a number of special guests.
2017
  • June 2017: PS Nation attends E3 2017 with six staff members and, with the work of our writers, complies the biggest coverage we’ve had to date.
  • November 2017: Glenn announces he’s stepping down from full time podcast duties and taking a much needed break after ten plus years at the helm of PS Nation.
  • December 2017: At PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, California, Glenn, Josh, Andy, and Michael combine to cover a wide variety of upcoming titles and score one of the best interviews we’ve ever had with William Pugh and Justin Roiland.
2018
  • January 2018: Dave and Michael join Josh and Glenn on the podcast to begin the transition to a new three man era.
  • February 7, 2018: After nearly eleven years Glenn has retired from the podcast. Dave, Michael, and Josh release the first podcast in the next stage of PS Nation’s evolution.

We’ve grown from a small podcast originally based in Wisconsin to a much larger podcast and website with a staff of twelve (and expanding) across the North America and Europe. Everything you see here is due to the hard work of the individuals listed below.
