Risk: Global Domination - reviews
When did they make a Risk video game and why didn't someone tell us sooner?
Wow, what an excellent game. We're not sure how we missed this one for so
long, but we're certainly glad we found it.
Risk: Global Domination is directly based on the Risk board game. As such,
those of you unfamiliar with the board game are probably not going to think
too highly of this title. But those of us who have put a Risk game
temporarily on-hold to barbeque steaks at 3:00am, are almost guaranteed to
love this game.
The game is surprisingly flexible, it allows for the all the house-rules that
we traditionally employ as well as a host of others than we never thought of.
Additionally, for those who will just be playing computer players you're in
for a treat. Not only to you get to play against historical figures, such as
George Washington or Napoleon Bonaparte, but they'll spend the whole game
bickering and beaking each other off, just you like you're real friends. And
if you prefer human players but you don't have any friends (at least not
handy), no problem, you can play online.
All and all, everything about this game was great. However, I suspect that
only serious fans of the Risk board game will truly appreciate this game.
