Ratchet & Clank Coming to Theaters in 2015 + Heavenly Sword Going Direct-to-Video

Insomniac Games announced today that they partnered with Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment to bring Ratchet & Clank to cinemas in 2015.

The movie will be penned by Insomniac‘s senior writer, T.J. Fixman and will be directed by Jericca Cleland. With Fixman writing the script Insomniac expects the humor and witty dialogue the games are known for to make it to the big screen. As for Rainmaker Entertainment’s history, they  recently released the animated film, Escape from Planet Earth and it made $60 million at the box office.

Along with this news, Variety sort of brushed off the news that Blockade Entertainment are currently working on a direct to video CG animated film for Heavenly Sword. No other information can be found about the movie at this time. but hopefully we will get word on Nariko’s next adventure soon.

If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
