Netflix Launching “Max” on PS3 Today

Netflix introduced a new addition to their streaming service for the PS3, called Max. Max is a new interactive way to find movies on the service.

Max features different “games” that help users find something to watch. One of those games include “Ratings Game” which has you rate random movies in a specific genre to find a recommendation and gives you a 30 second pitch on that recommendation.  Check out the video below to get a better idea on how Max will work.

Joystiq have reported that Max was developed by JackBox Games of You Don’t Know Jack fame, which makes sense after you watch the video. Max is rolling out on the PlayStation 3(US) on a trial run and if successful will roll onto other platforms and regions.

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
