PS4 Hits 2.1 Million Sales Worldwide

With the PlayStation 4 launching this past weekend across Europe and Latin America, Sony announced that the worldwide sales for the PlayStation 4 reached 2.1 million. This comes after Sony announced that they sold 1 million PS4s in North America.

Andrew House took to the PlayStation Blog and said:

“In what is shaping up to be a historic year for gamers, I’m delighted to share an important new milestone with you. PS4’s North American debut on November 15th was PlayStation’s largest ever, with more than one million gamers picking up a PS4 in just 24 hours. Now, with PS4’s global launch expanding to a total of 32 countries worldwide, including Europe and Latin America, I’m proud to announce that more than 2.1 million PS4s have been sold.”

It has been a couple weeks since the PlayStation 4 launched in North America, so how has the system been treating our North American readers? And for our readers that picked up a PS4 this weekend across Europe, what do you think of Sony’s new console so far? What games are you playing and what games are you looking forward to?

Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
