PS4 and Vita to Arrive in China in 2015


The PlayStation brand is heading to China in early 2015 when the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita launch in the country. On January 11th the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita will go on sale in both the Black and White models. The PS4 will cost 2,899 RMB and the Vita will cost 1,299 RMB.

Sony Computer Entertainment’s Andrew House had the following statement to go along with the announcement:

“PS4 is expanding at the fastest rate in PlayStation hardware history, and the global gaming community is enjoying the ultimate entertainment experience only available on PlayStation. We are delighted that we are able to fully launch our business in China, which is a market with great potential. We look forward to delivering exciting software, convenient services and entertainment experiences only possible on PlayStation to the many gamers in China.”

Launching with the systems will be with these Chinese developed games King of Wushu, Mr. Pumpkin Adventure and One Tap Hero. More games will be developed by Chinese developers with assistance from, Shanghai Oriental Pearl SUOLE Culture Development Ltd and SCE.

There are 72 third party publishers and developers signed on to support the Chinese market including such names as Capcom, Square-Enix, Sega, Electronic Arts, Bethesda Softworks to name a few.
