Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is official

Nathan Drake Collection

**It’s official, with a release date of October 9, 2015 (North America), October 7 (Europe), October 9th in the UK and Ireland**
Notes: The pack was developed by Bluepoint Games, the pack includes remasters of Uncharted 1, 2, and 3 (no Golden Abyss.)

Quote from the Blog Post:
“…not only allowing you to play the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but they’re also working on a range of improvements and additions across all three games.”

“By pre-ordering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection now, you can receive the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as everyone’s favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme.”

“Oh, and one other important note, buying the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection grants you exclusive access to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer beta (while the beta is available, of course.)”

There’s no mention if the multiplayer will be coming back to Uncharted 2 or 3, which is something that I would personally love to see.
(**UPDATE** Confirmed by Quentin Cobb from Naughty Dog “There will be no MP in the collection”)

It appears that someone at PlayStation accidentally confirmed an Uncharted collection before E3. Late Wednesday night people noticed a banner advertising what appears to be the often rumored Uncharted collection on the PlayStation Store’s web store. An Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is one of the marquee banners on the web store, but as of right now it links to nothing.

This is mostly likely advertising the often rumored Uncharted Remastered collection that would feature Uncharted 1-3 for the PlayStation 4. No official announcement has been made yet, but this is likely something Sony would have liked to announce during their E3 conference next week. We will see what Sony does on Thursday morning in regards to a formal announcement.
