Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture on August 11th

August 11th will mark the end of the long wait gamers have endured since Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture was announced for PlayStation 4 by developer The Chinese Room in 2013. To be fair, it’s probably a lot longer for the developers than it has been for us.

To build up atmosphere for the game’s impending launch, a new website dedicated to the game has also been announced. GonetotheRapture.com will feature content created and produced exclusively for the site, pictures, music, short stories, meant to “set the scene” and introduce players to the setting and some of the characters. Don’t worry, The Chinese Room is well aware that the mysterious air is one of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture’s key charms. No spoilers of that will appear on the site.

Only coming to PlayStation 4, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is a first person, not-shooter, set in the British countryside in the 1980’s. The world has ended.

To be continued on August 11th.

A student of games, I play a bit of everything because I like to see what’s out there. Nothing better than first hand experience when it comes to knowing about games. Current game obsession: Anything MOBA (Paragon, Battleborn, Heroes of the Storm), except, ironically, the most popular ones, LoL and DOTA2.
