E3 2015: 20th Anniversary DualShock 4 and Headset to Release in September

Sony have announced the DualShock 4 from the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition will be made available to buy separately. The Gold Wireless Headset will also be redesigned in the classic PlayStation style.

Via Twitter, PlayStation US confirmed the controller will cost $64.99. The headset carries a $99.99 price tag.

The special edition console – sporting an ‘Original Grey’ color scheme and colored PS logo – launched last December. However, as the unit was limited to a 12,300 production run, prices have skyrocketed on eBay to well over $1000.

Now, the controller will release on its own – a move many gamers called for after the disappointment of missing out last Christmas. It not only provides an attractive halfway house for those who don’t have the console, but finally allows the lucky Anniversary Edition owners to have a matching set of DualShocks.

As of yet, only the gorgeous DualShock 4 has been formally confirmed for Europe. The US meanwhile, has had both items teased on Twitter:
