Amazon Exclusive Batman Arkham Knight Delayed – UPDATED

My wife had ordered the Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition (Amazon Exclusive) due for release in a matter of days. We just received an email from Amazon explaining there would be a delay “as the manufacturer has advised us that there’s been a packaging quality issue.” My order with the updated packaging, should be with me no later than July 14, 2015. However the good folk at Amazon are making things better by sending out a download code for the FULL GAME on PS4!

“To ensure that you get to play your game on the release date, we’ll be sending you a code via e-mail on Tuesday 23 June, that you can use to download the full game from the PS4.”

Check out a screen grab of the email, with any personal information blanked out.

So it would seem that Amazon are going above and beyond to make sure the lucky people that ordered this edition get to play the game on release day. If you ordered this version then you should receive an email from Amazon UK soon.

It would seem Amazon are still struggling to procure the items in question and are now offering an apology along with an offer of cancellation, which would mean everyone who pre-ordered this item got the game for FREE. As long as they downloaded the game using the codes already sent out. Check out the latest email here, with personal information removed:
