Delays Plague The Mighty No. 9 Release

Ah, well, what can we say. It seems as if there is still trouble brewing in River City, except this time it happens to be for the team behind the Mighty No. 9 release.

This morning, backers on the game’s Kickstarter page received some troubling news of yet another push back on the release date. Originally slated for a September 2015 release, then moved to February 9, 2016, things are now looking like a “Spring 2016” release with no definitive date supplied this go around. Reading through the update, the team explains that this slippage is “rooted in bugs inside the network modes, and specifically problems with matchmaking.” In addition to why the issues remain is further explained because of the number of platforms being supported as well as the use of a now unsupported game engine.

As with all things crowd funded, this is starting look like the routine scenario for almost all releases for consumer products. This is certainly not the best news but at least the team at Comcept is being as transparent as they can given the circumstances involved.
