“Rush the Core” with New Gameplay Footage from Epic’s Paragon

Epic Games’s Paragon sounds like a very thoughtful attempt at bringing classic Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) elements together with over-the-shoulder, directly controlled action gameplay in a cohesive package, so it’s extra exciting to always be impressed by how good it looks every time the developer decides to release another in-game trailer.

This newest video entitled “Rush the Core,” features the first good look at Gideon and Sparrow’s abilities as they take down Howizter and try to take the core that Dekker, Steel, and Grux are defending. It depicts a battle for one of the game’s main objectives, much like the last trailer, “Mid-Lane Push.” Amusingly, Howizter got taken out in that trailer too (by Steel).

Sign ups for ongoing online betas are open now, and interested players can go to www.paragon.com to sign up and learn more about the game.

Paragon is scheduled for release on PS4 and PC some time this year, will be free-to-play with in-game purchases being cross-buy, and it’ll be cross-play between the two platforms.

A student of games, I play a bit of everything because I like to see what’s out there. Nothing better than first hand experience when it comes to knowing about games. Current game obsession: Anything MOBA (Paragon, Battleborn, Heroes of the Storm), except, ironically, the most popular ones, LoL and DOTA2.
