This puts PlayStation VR at a very competitive price compared to the Oculus Rift ($599) and the HTC Vive ($799).

Here is the official announcement from Andrew House on the price and release month for PlayStation VR.

What will be included in the $399 package are as follows:

– HDMI cable × 1
– USB cable × 1
– Stereo headphones × 1 (with a complete set of earpiece)

As you can see the PlayStation Camera is not included.

According to Sony there are currently more than 230 developers and publishers working on titles for PS VR with more than 50 titles expected to launch before the end of the year. Just a nerd from the Windy City. I’m actually really bad at describing myself because I get all self-critical and self-conscious. Follow me on Twitter, @The1stMJC, to see my borderline insane rants on tv shows and other non important subjects. If I’m not tweeting I’m probably just watching Buffy or Firefly for the millionth time.
